This probably was the right move. Unlike a lot of Silicon Valley M&A, this deal was actually priced at a low revenue multiple. I’m thinking Groupon has a better chance at going public than being acquired at this point, especially with the leak that they’re pulling in $1 Billion in revenue with low overhead. Time will tell.
